JSW MG Motor India has rolled out its latest electric vehicle awareness initiative, titled ‘EV Sahi Hai’, aimed at challenging common misconceptions and building public confidence in EVs. The campaign, which unfolds in two distinct phases, seeks to normalize electric mobility by sharing real stories and relatable narratives.
The first leg of the campaign is consumer-centric, featuring a collection of 10 short films. These videos, which will be shared across digital platforms and television, spotlight actual MG EV owners sharing their personal journeys and positive experiences with electric vehicles. Each film concludes with the unifying tagline, ‘EV Sahi Hai’, reinforcing the message that switching to electric is a smart and dependable choice.
These teasers and customer stories are currently available to view on the campaign’s dedicated platform: www.evsahihai.com — launched on August 9, 2025. The new website offers a comprehensive resource hub for consumers, particularly first-time EV buyers, aiming to educate and demystify EV ownership.
In the campaign’s second phase, the spotlight shifts to a more celebrity-driven approach. Actors Varun Sharma and Pulkit Samrat will bring the message to a broader audience through engaging storytelling that highlights the practical benefits of owning an EV in India. This phase is set to debut later in August and draws creative inspiration from the highly successful ‘Mutual Fund Sahi Hai’ campaign by AMFI, which helped reshape public perception around mutual fund investments.
Speaking on the campaign’s launch, Udit Malhotra, Head of Marketing at JSW MG Motor India, remarked: “As an early entrant in the EV space, we’ve remained committed to shaping a supportive ecosystem through continuous innovation. With ‘EV Sahi Hai’, we aim to proactively share the many success stories of EV ownership in India—stories that speak of affordability, environmental benefits, and an enhanced driving experience. We believe this campaign can significantly drive EV adoption across the country.”
Amit Nandwani, National Creative Director at Cheil X, added: “While many acknowledge that EVs are the future, lingering doubts often deter them from making the switch. By featuring real customers and their stories, we hope to break down these barriers and offer a more relatable, trustworthy perspective on EV ownership.”
JSW MG Motor India continues to lead the charge in the new energy vehicle (NEV) segment, with plans to introduce more clean mobility solutions in the near future. The company currently holds a 35% share of India’s EV market, bolstered by a diverse lineup known for reliability, range, and value. Collectively, MG electric vehicles have traveled approximately 1,464 million kilometers, helping to avoid an estimated 233,704 tons of CO2 emissions.
