Jet Aviation will provide physical sustainable aviation fuel uplift at Zurich Airport

Jet Aviation will once again provide physical sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) at Zurich Airport during the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2026, marking the fifth year in a row the FBO has supported SAF availability for the event.

The company first introduced SAF in Switzerland for WEF 2020 and subsequently supplied it on-site for the 2023, 2024, and 2025 meetings. In 2022, when physical SAF was not available, Jet Aviation offered access through its Book & Claim system.

“We are delighted to offer SAF on-site again during the World Economic Forum in Davos,” said Joao Martins, vice president of FBO operations Europe and general manager of Zurich. “Since introducing SAF for WEF in 2020, we have consistently supported its availability at the meeting and expanded access at our Swiss facilities, including establishing a permanent supply at our global headquarters in Basel.”

Today, Jet Aviation offers physical SAF uplift at 13 facilities worldwide, complemented by a global Book & Claim program for locations without on-site infrastructure.

The company’s broader sustainability efforts go beyond fuel, encompassing electric ground support equipment, charging stations, waste management, single-use plastic reduction, and the use of bio-based resins in VIP aircraft completions.

According to industry assessments, SAF can reduce lifecycle carbon emissions by up to 80% compared with conventional jet fuel.
