CM Biomass has announced that Morten Buchgreitz has stepped down as CEO following a mutual agreement.
During his tenure, Buchgreitz played a key role in professionalizing and structuring the company’s internal processes and risk management, as well as shaping CM Biomass’ strategic direction for the future. The board of directors is now focused on finding a new CEO with a strong commercial background to lead the company into its next growth phase. The company’s success has largely been attributed to its solid strategy, flexible business model, and dedicated workforce.
“The board would like to thank Morten Buchgreitz for his efforts, contributions, and professionalism over the past three years, first as a board member and then as Group CEO. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors,” stated Christian Junker, chairman of the board of directors.
In the meantime, Ask Michael Munck, the CFO of CM Biomass, will serve as acting CEO. Munck has been with the company since 2022 and possesses extensive knowledge of its operations and goals.
