Hyderabad: In a move designed to accelerate electric vehicle (EV) adoption in India, Bolt.Earth, the country’s largest EV charging network, has joined forces with Atul Greentech Private Limited, a major manufacturer of electric three-wheelers. The collaboration launches a first-of-its-kind nationwide Home Charging Program, reports Passionate In Marketing.
This initiative will make a professionally installed home charger a standard feature included with every purchase of an Atul Greentech vehicle. The program also includes customer education to promote safe and efficient charging habits. The partnership directly tackles two of the biggest barriers to EV ownership in India: reliable access to charging and building consumer confidence.
“While India’s public charging network has grown significantly, access and convenience remain the biggest hurdles for EV owners,” said Mr. Divya Chandra, Managing Director of Atul Greentech. “By partnering with Bolt.Earth, we are reimagining the EV experience by bringing charging home. Our goal is to make owning and charging an EV as simple and dependable as any other daily routine. This is a major step toward making electric vehicles mainstream in India.”
The rollout will be executed in phases over the next three years. The first stage involves planning and aligning processes between the two companies. The second phase will see the nationwide installation of home chargers alongside educational and marketing campaigns. The final phase will focus on optimizing performance and expanding into new areas like smart charging, renewable energy integration, and advanced maintenance services.
Bolt.Earth contributes its extensive network to the partnership, having already deployed over 100,000 chargers across more than 1,800 cities.
“We’ve now deployed over 100,000 EV chargers across 1,800-plus towns and cities, bringing us much closer to charging being everywhere,” said S Raghav Bharadwaj, CEO and Founder of Bolt.Earth. “With this collaboration, we’re working to make EV charging as routine and reliable as plugging in your phone.”
Under the agreement, Bolt.Earth will handle the installation, maintenance, and operational reliability of the chargers, as well as providing technical and billing support. Atul Greentech will integrate the program into its dealer network, lead awareness efforts, and link vehicle warranty coverage to the safe use of the approved home chargers.
The partnership also paves the way for future expansion into new services like solar-powered charging and predictive maintenance, aiming to build a more accessible and user-friendly EV ecosystem for India.
