BiofuelCircle expands biomass aggregation network in Maharashtra

In a move to enhance biomass aggregation, BiofuelCircle has set up eight new warehouses near Mauda and Bhandara in Nagpur, Maharashtra. These facilities are equipped with modern machinery, including balers and rakers, to support the collection of 40,000 metric tonnes of paddy straw during the current season.

The Mujbi Biomass Bank was inaugurated at a farmer-focused event, which was attended by more than 100 farmers. The event demonstrated methods for processing agricultural waste and showcased the potential of technology in improving collection and transportation. To further streamline operations, BiofuelCircle has implemented GPS and telematics-based systems, aimed at supporting rural biomass businesses.

Founded in June 2020, BiofuelCircle focuses on creating an efficient and dependable bioenergy supply chain. By connecting farmers, biofuel producers, and end-users, the company seeks to promote a circular economy in the biofuel industry.

Currently, BiofuelCircle operates 31 warehouses and has plans to double this number in agricultural states such as Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Maharashtra. This expansion aims to strengthen the company’s role in the growing bioenergy sector.
