The National Oilseed Processors Association (NOPA), which represents the U.S. oilseed crushing industry, has announced the addition of Platinum Crush as its newest member, reports Biofuels International.
Platinum Crush, LLC operates a soybean processing facility in Alta, Iowa, which began operations in May 2024. The 440-acre plant has the capacity to process 40 million bushels of soybeans each year. The company will begin reporting its soybean crush data in the August edition of the NOPA Crush Report.
Welcoming the new member, NOPA President and CEO Devin Mogler said, “We are pleased to have Platinum Crush join our growing ranks. This addition brings us closer to representing the entire U.S. soy crush industry, now covering 98% of total capacity. Together, our member companies continue to play a vital role in shaping the future of oilseed processing and American agriculture.”
Platinum Crush CEO Erik Lightner also shared his thoughts on the membership. “We are proud to become part of NOPA and contribute to the direction of the industry. We look forward to collaborating with other members and supporting U.S. agriculture, our partners, and customers,” he said.
With this new partnership, NOPA strengthens its influence as a unified voice for the country’s soybean, canola, flaxseed, safflower seed, and sunflower seed processors.
