Argent Fuels expands operations to London and South East for its low carbon fuel

Argent Fuels, a leading UK provider of carbon-saving fuels, is ramping up its efforts toward a greener future by expanding the supply of High-Blend Biodiesel to bus, coach, HGV fleets, and rail operators in southern England. This move aligns with the company’s broader strategy to scale operations and significantly reduce CO₂ emissions in the transport sector.

As a part of Argent Energy, Argent Fuels supplies low-carbon, waste-based biodiesel directly to fleets across the UK. Since 2008, it has been a pioneer in the commercial-scale supply of high-blend biodiesel. Today, the company powers over 9,000 diesel vehicles nationwide, including fleets operated by major transport companies like Metroline and Transdev.

While the current UK road fuel standard is capped at a B7 blend (7% biodiesel, 93% fossil diesel), Argent Fuels offers high-blend options—up to B30 (30% biodiesel)—enabling significant cuts in fossil fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions across public and freight transport networks.

To better serve southern regions, Argent Fuels has recently opened a new blending and distribution facility covering the South East, East Anglia, London, and the Home Counties. Strategically situated near major transport routes, the centre improves access to high-blend biodiesel, supporting more efficient emissions reductions for local fleets.
