The Sustainable Aviation Fuel Coalition has welcomed Amazon as its newest member. Amazon’s entry highlights its commitment to advancing Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) as a crucial factor in enhancing jet fuel efficiency, reducing environmental impact, creating domestic jobs, and strengthening U.S. energy independence.
“We are excited to have Amazon join the SAF Coalition,” said Alison Graab, Executive Director of the Coalition. “Their involvement represents a significant milestone in our collective efforts to expand SAF production and promote a more sustainable future.”
As per media report, with Amazon’s substantial role in logistics and transportation, the SAF Coalition anticipates valuable contributions from the company. Since its inception earlier this year, the Coalition has grown to include over 50 organizations spanning the SAF value chain.
The Coalition includes a wide range of stakeholders, such as airports, airlines, and other sectors, and it advocates for policies and incentives to accelerate the use of sustainable aviation fuels.
