Pasupati Acrylon gets UP government nod to raise ethanol plant capacity to 180 KL per day

Pasupati Acrylon Limited has received approval from the Excise Department of the Uttar Pradesh government to expand the manufacturing capacity of its ethanol plant from 150 kiloliters (KL) per day to 180 KL per day, the company informed stock exchanges on May 13, 2026.

According to the regulatory filing submitted to BSE and the National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE), the capacity addition of 30 KL per day is expected to be completed by the first quarter of financial year 2026-27. The company said the expansion would require no additional investment and cited improved operational efficiency as the rationale for the upgrade.

The filing noted that the company’s existing ethanol plant is currently operating at 100 per cent utilisation, subject to order allocations from oil marketing companies (OMCs). The proposed enhancement would take the plant’s daily output to 180 KL, strengthening the company’s ability to fulfil larger supply commitments under India’s ethanol blending programme.

The disclosure was made by Bharat Kapoor, Company Secretary and Compliance Officer of Pasupati Acrylon Limited, in compliance with Regulation 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.

Pasupati Acrylon is based in Thakurdwara, Moradabad district, Uttar Pradesh, and has been an active participant in the country’s ethanol supply chain. The capacity expansion, achieved without fresh capital outlay, reflects a growing trend among grain and molasses-based ethanol producers in Uttar Pradesh to scale up output as domestic blending targets drive sustained demand from OMCs.
