NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Assago Industries Private Limited on February 2 for the supply of green ammonia, carbon dioxide, renewable energy power, and other related utilities for a green urea plant.
The agreement was signed at NTPC Bhawan in New Delhi, NGEL said in a press release.
Under the MoU, NGEL will supply green ammonia, carbon dioxide, renewable energy power, and associated utilities to Assago Industries for the production of 1,000 TPD of green urea.
The urea plant is being explored to be set up at the NGEL Green Hydrogen Hub in Pudimadaka near Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, the company said.
